WIFILM: DEVELOPING AUDIOVISUAL RESOURCES FOR WOMEN ASPIRING TO A CAREER IN FILM
OVERVIEW
The WIFILM project addresses the persistent gender inequality in the film industry and provides access to a wide range of role-specific audiovisual resources for women aspiring to a creative, administrative or technical career in film. Ludovica owned the development of the ​WIFILM MOOC from milestones to the final product. She worked collaboratively with technical and creative teams and successfully launched the eLearning platform, which inlcudes a large number of multimedia files, such as videos, audio lessons, and flipbooks.
LUDOVICA'S ROLE
• Worked closely with a team of 10+ project managers, researchers, content creators and web developers and planned the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) schedule in Kanban boards.
• Had regular meetings, monitored the progress of localisation workflows in 6 European languages, prioritized tasks and dependencies.​
• Created work plans for audio, visual and written content, step-to-step guides, templates, translation tables and Excel spreadsheets to guide tech and creative teams.
• Conducted interviews with industry professionals from local film festivals and Netflix productions.
• Attended 2 training events with industry professionals from across Europe in Cyprus and Ireland.
• Tested the prototype resources with end-users in Germany.
• Assisted in the organisation of the final conference at Seminci Film Festival in Valladolid, Spain.​ ​​
RESULTS
​​• Improved team's efficiency, collaboration, and transparency with Trello.
• Increased production pace and delivered 285 finalised tasks in 30 days.
• 100% engagement of German industry professionals and VET tutors in project activities and transnational events at University of Nicosia, Cyprus and educational centre in Ireland.
• Increased knowledge of audiovisual production within the VET sector.
• Reached 150+ key local stakeholders at Reetzival in Brandenburg.
• 90% of VET tutors in Germany wanted to use the MOOC as learning environment and integrate the resources into their daily practices.

NATALIE MACMAHONE
Natalie is a German film director and screenwriter, and founder of the Female Filmmaker Festival Berlin. As a leading figure in the local cultural scene, she played a pivotal role in the WIFILM project and considerably enriched the project's outcome. 

LISA HAUSS

With her role as Assistant Director in the Berlin-shot Netflix TV series The Queen's Gambit and Homeland, Lisa has brought exceptional value to the Case Study Library featuring female artists from across Europe. Her experience in international film productions greatly contributed to the project success.
