SINGLE STORY: PROMOTING AFRICAN CULTURE THROUGH DIGITAL STORYTELLING

OVERVIEW
With an extensive collection of African stories and practical resources on digital media production, the SingleStory project promotes African narratives through the medium of digital storytelling, bringing the gift of the 'griot' into the digital era. Ludovica contributed to the development of the Digital Storytelling Curriculum and the Digital Repository of African stories featured in the SingleStory MOOC researching, designing, and managing internal and external stakeholders.
LUDOVICA'S ROLE
• Developed Dissemination Strategy and managed all promotion activities, including social media posts, newsletters and information leaflets.
• Developed Stakeholder Engagement Strategy and defined KPIs.
• Worked closely with teams of project managers, researchers, copywriters, translators and web designers on multiple creative workstreams.
• Conducted multiple Google forms and piloting activities to test resources and collect feedback.
• Developed videos and audiobooks of African stories, managing recording, editing and design processes.
• Held multiple workshops with final users in Germany to test the product.
RESULTS
• Implemented regular newsletters shared with stakeholders.
• Engaged key local stakeholders in the development of project outputs.
• Trained 15+ VET tutors on how to work in multicultural environments and how to produce digital stories.
• 70% of participants confirmed their willingness to integrate the MOOC platform into their educational practices.
